Pink is the color of sunsets and ballet slippers. It blushes on babies' cheeks and cockle shells.

Cotton candy, piglets and bubble gum bloom in this soft hue of freshness, femininity and spring.

And it will be blossoming in my studio in April when Elizabeth Bunsen brings Pink Alchemy to the beach.

Elizabeth is a master of experimentation and what ifs.

This spring she will share the fruits of years of learning and discovery, along with her musings about the color pink.

We will begin this three-day workshop by creating a stitched cloth and paper sample book that will receive an alchemy of flora, mineral and other ingredients, which we will process using hand-cut cherry-wood sandwich boards. We'll move on to a mixed-fabric, stitched story cloth using a bundling technique. As we stitch and embellish together, we'll share pink stories while exploring the alchemical and metaphorical applications of pink.

Join us.

Pink also happens to be the color of a Topsail sunset.

The cost of this three-day workshop is $450 and includes most materials.
